Purpose for your cooking

Do you have a purpose to things that you do? I bet you do.
When I go to the store, my purpose is to get the food my family needs; to spend the least amount of money and time and then get home.
Many of us though don't have a purpose for cooking or making dinner for our family. We simply throw together any old thing and put it on the table. We don't plan, think and execute in an organized fashion. Because we don't have a purpose, we often get in a rut and then no one is happy! We get lazy and go with the old stand bys and then wonder why our repertoire is so limited - it is because we have no plan!
This blog will talk about having a purpose to your cooking and how to easily make a menu plan and have your family eat more delicious and different foods, without a lot of fuss!
How will you do this you ask? The principle is easy - it is the principle of Once a Month cooking! Create one menu at the beginning of the month, assemble 10-15 meals and freeze them. As the month goes along, defrost them and use them instead of just throwing something together at the last minute!
